The Origami Event 2015

Today was my first time that I went to an Origami event. This festival is in celebration of one of the biggest holiday seasons in Japan, we call it Obon Matsuri. The celebrations in Second Life usually take place a little bit earlier than the real life version. What you will find here in SL is a story quest that combines love, horror, and an item hunt. I won't say too much about the story other than to say it is really interesting. You will have to pay attention to the characters you interact with the free hud you receive. It really reminds me of some of the modern online games which have quest lines. While there are some of Second Life’s technical limitations when compared to a traditional game, the production value is really quite good.

If you have never been to Japan during this time of year, this festival will give you a little taste of what it is like. Of course there are not ghost floating around, or are there? :) You will however find lots of food and drink along with games and fireworks. It is one of my favorite times of the year.  

The Origami Event started on July 5th and will end until August 25th.
